Brown taps 6 for judges in 4 courts

Appointees come from public service and law firms.

Gov. Jerry Brown named six new superior court judges Monday, appointing one in Alameda County; three in Los Angeles County; one in Orange County; and one in San Bernardino County.

One appointee is a prosecutor, two are public defenders, two worked at large firms, and the last is a superior court managing research attorney. Half of the appointees are Democrats. The others registered without party preference.
