Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross has appointed California-based attorney Laura A. Peter to a leadership role in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross appointed California attorney Laura A. Peter to a leadership role in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Effective Nov. 13, Peter, who most recently was deputy general counsel of San Jose-headquartered A10 Networks Inc., will become deputy under secretary of commerce for intellectual property and deputy director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
