Bomb scare prompts San Francisco Hall of Justice evacuation

An incendiary device or firework was set off at the San Francisco Hall of Justice, causing an evacuation of the building and court to be canceled Thursday afternoon.

SAN FRANCISCO -- An incendiary device or firework was set off at the San Francisco Hall of Justice, causing an evacuation of the building and court to be canceled Thursday afternoon, according to sheriff's department spokesperson Nancy Crowley.

San Francisco County Superior Court spokesperson Ann Donlan said the court would open Friday. No injuries were reported, according to the fire department's official Twitter account.
