1st jury verdict on energy drinks goes to defense

In the first personal injury trial against an energy drink company to reach a verdict, a Riverside County jury ruled unanimously for the defense, finding a Monster energy drink did not play a substantial role in causing an 18-year-old man to suffer a cardiac arrest.
