The 2nd District Court of Appeal has overturned a Title IX case, ruling a USC student expelled as a result of a sexual assault investigation had his due process rights violated by the school.

The ruling on Tuesday setting aside the expulsion follows a string of California Title IX cases in which the courts have blasted how thoroughly schools have investigated incidents of sexual assaults.
