San Diego’s new US attorney sworn in
Robert S. Brewer Jr., a prominent former prosecutor and longtime San Diego litigator, was sworn in Wednesday as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California.

Brewer was nominated by President Trump last June, and the full Senate unanimously confirmed his appointment on Jan. 2.
