David L. Anderson took the oath of office Tuesday as U.S. attorney for the Northern District of California from U.S. District Judge Richard G. Seeborg. His wife, Kat Anderson, attended.

Anderson returns to the U.S. attorney’s office after eight years at Sidley Austin LLP in San Francisco. Previously, he was an assistant U.S. attorney from 1998 to 2002 then a First Assistant U.S. Attorney from 2008 to 2010.
