In an effort to appease frustrated public defenders who say thousands of privileged conversations were recorded by the provider of phone services to the county jails, an Orange County judge unsealed a document from the phone company which, among other contentions, appears to shift blame to others who failed to add numbers to a list that many lawyers did not know existed.
