Estate of appellate justice gives $50M to Scalia Law School

The estate of late state appeals court Justice Allison M. Rouse and his wife, attorney Dorothy B. Rouse, donated $50 million to Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University.

The estate of California appeals court Justice Allison M. Rouse and his wife, attorney Dorothy B. Rouse, donated $50 million to Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University.

The gift will endow 13 faculty chairs with about $4 million each and is the third-largest law school donation ever, according to an announcement made Thursday by the northern Virginia university.
