Government report blames SoCal Edison equipment for 2017 fire

The Ventura County Fire department released a 71-page report detailing the origin of the 2017 Thomas Fire and laying blame on SoCal Edison electrical equipment, a document plaintiff attorneys say they'll rely on in future litigation.

A government report Thursday that fingers SoCal Edison equipment for a 2017 fire that scorched 281,000 acres over two counties is likely to boost pending plaintiffs' litigation against the utility, attorneys said.
