Ethics adviser testifies in worker’s comp fraud trial
Attorney Esther Valdes said she didn’t understand her client had pleaded guilty to federal crimes when she declared his activities lawful.
SANTA ANA -- An ethics adviser to a man now convicted of masterminding a fraudulent attorney advertising service testified Wednesday she tried to ease his concerns after a police raid at his home by reading him a Bible passage.
