San Francisco State settles Jewish discrimination suits
A settlement was reached Wednesday in two different cases, Mandel v. Board of Trustees of California State University and Volk v. Board of Trustees of California State University with the CSU system safeguarding Jewish student rights.
California State University agreed to resolve a contentious dispute that accused the institution of cultivating anti-Semitism and discrimination against Jewish students.
As part of the settlement, San Francisco State University agreed to enact new policies to encourage diversity and evaluate how it handles discrimination claims.
