U.S. signs first bilateral data-sharing agreement under the CLOUD Act

The U.S. Department of Justice recently announced that the United States and the United Kingdom have entered into the first of the international executive agreements authorized under the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act, permitting faster and more direct sharing of stored electronic communications in many kinds of criminal and national security investigations.
