When a married couple with one or more children divorces, there are often issues regarding custody and visitation. These issues include not only where the children resides, but how much time they spend in each home, where they go for holidays and vacations, and how the most important decisions in their lives are made. If the parties cannot reach an agreement on these issues, the judge must decide, focusing on what is in the best interest of the children.
