TRACED Act gives the government bigger hammer to curb robocalling
Earlier this month the Pallone-Thune Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence Act was signed into law. TRACED serves to enhance the existing Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which was passed in 1991 to regulate calls using an “automatic telephone dialing system” or an artificial/prerecorded voice.
