A reprieve for DACA recipients
The U.S. Supreme Court’s long-awaited decision last week rejecting the Trump administration’s attempt to rescind Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, commonly known as DACA — which grants temporary forbearance of removal to qualified undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children — is a welcome result for the 700,000 current recipients across the country, nearly a quarter of whom reside in California.
