Workers to ensure LA County employers obey COVID orders

The LA County board of supervisors unanimously approved the program Tuesday, after the health department submitted an implementation plan last week.

Workers at restaurants, food and apparel manufacturers, warehousing and storage facilities will receive support from Los Angeles County to launch public health councils -- worker-led groups to collaborate with the Department of Public Health to ensure their employers are complying with COVID-19 safety protocols.
