Cal/OSHA issues new workplace COVID-19 standards for next 6 months

The California Office of Administrative Law has 10 days from the rule's approval last Thursday to review it.

With a unanimous vote, Cal/OSHA approved new temporary COVID-19 standards for workplaces across the state, which will stay in effect for 180 days and can be renewed in 90-day increments thereafter. Exemptions will be made for workplaces with a single employee, employees who are working from home, and workplaces that are already covered by the state agency's aerosol transmissible diseases standard, such as health care facilities, prisons and homeless shelters.
