Nonprofit demands state say who got national mortgage settlement money
The Neighborhood Stabilization Corporation is seeking the release of the winning applications and a reversal of the California Housing Finance Agency’s funding decisions.
California is headed back to court to defend its use of millions of dollars received in 2012 from the national mortgage settlement.
In a complaint filed Friday, the Neighborhood Stabilization Corporation, a housing nonprofit whose application for grant money was rejected, is seeking the release of the winning applications and a reversal of the California Housing Finance Agency's funding decisions.
