Changes to bar discipline aims to aid sole practitioners

Joanna Mendoza, a Sacramento sole practitioner and a former bar trustee, said bar discipline has for years been more harsh on sole practitioners who don't have the resources of a large firm.

With the State Bar launching an ad hoc commission to improve the attorney discipline system, legal ethics experts hope that sole practitioners will get more resources.
