Federal judge sets March date for Elizabeth Holmes criminal trial

U.S. District Judge Edward Davila has pressed for the trial to begin as soon as possible. It’s been rescheduled twice from October and July because of safety concerns imposed by the pandemic.

The criminal trial of Elizabeth Holmes will start on March 9 despite public health experts indicating there could be a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, a federal judge said Wednesday.

“I’m hopeful and optimistic we’ll be able to do that,” U.S. District Judge Edward Davila said. “I’m not even going to suggest we’re going to continue that date.”
