Ex-Modoc County judge barred from bench after public admonishment

David A. Mason resigned from the bench Oct. 31 and agreed not to serve in a judicial capacity ever again, according to a commission statement.

The Commission on Judicial Performance issued a severe public reprimand Tuesday to a now-former Modoc County Superior Court judge who made misleading disclosures about his relationship with an attorney even after he got in trouble for it.
