DA says judge recusing entire office sets ‘dangerous precedent’

San Luis Obispo County Superior Court Judge Matthew Guerrero disqualified District Attorney Dan Dow and his 40 deputies from prosecuting people arrested during protests because of a campaign email the DA sent.

After a judge found a "clear conflict of interest," before disqualifying the entire San Luis Obispo district attorney's office from prosecuting people arrested during Black Lives Matter protests, District Attorney Dan Dow responded: "There is absolutely no conflict," and the judge had "set a dangerous precedent."
