WilmerHale pro bono team wins for United Farmworkers

The injunction against the Department of Labor’s plan to change the way it calculates wage rates a second victory for United Farm Workers and WilmerHale in recent months.

An Eastern District judge granted United Farm Workers and UFW Foundation a preliminary injunction to prevent changes in the Department of Labor’s method for calculating the adverse effect wage rate.

Judge Dale A. Drozd sided with the plaintiffs and prevented the agency from implementing changes in how it sets the rate used to calculate wages for U.S. farmworkers and foreign agricultural guest workers with H-2A visas.
