The State Bar continued to move with caution on a proposal that would restrict elected prosecutors or candidates from soliciting political and financial support from law enforcement unions.
In a meeting Friday, the board of trustees declined to issue a rule of professional conduct based on the proposal, which was introduced by four of the state's 58 district attorneys.
