Firm that worked with Girardi Keese will handle gas leak cases
Under the agreement, if they are victorious, Girardi Keese’s estate would receive 45% of the fees. Its co-counsel, Frantz Law Group APLC, would receive 55%, according to the firm’s representative, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP partner Kenneth R. Chiate. The two firms represent more than 8,000 plaintiffs.
The law firm that worked with Girardi Keese to represent plaintiffs in the Porter Ranch gas leak litigation will handle the cases on its own in accordance with an agreement reached between the firm and Girardi Keese's trustee. Plaintiffs attorneys say they expect the cases to net a settlement of $1 billion to $2 billion.
