Celebrating Black history’s unsung heroes: Barbara Rose Johns
This week, my kindergartener’s school kicked off Black History Month in a beautiful ceremony. It reminded me of how much depth there is to Black History — and how much I need to remind myself of how many Black Americans we owe a debt of gratitude for their efforts to perfect our nation’s stated value of equality under the law.
