LADWP sued over gas leak in San Fernando Valley

San Fernando Valley area communities file class action in LA Superior Court against city’s Department of Water and Power over ongoing gas leak emitting from Sun Valley Generating Station.

San Fernando Valley residents impacted by an ongoing gas leak accused the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power of exposing them for years to toxins that caused headaches, nausea, nosebleeds and respiratory illnesses.

A proposed class action filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court seeks damages for emotional distress, negligence, continuing public and private nuisance, fraudulent concealment and inverse condemnation....
