Claim that Senate lacks ability to hold a trial holds no water

President Donald Trump continues to repeat the “big lie” that the election was a fraud and stolen from him. On Jan. 6, Trump provoked a mob of supporters to march on the Capitol for the purpose of overturning the election that he unquestionably lost. A week later, the House of Representatives impeached him for inciting an insurrection.
