Northern District US attorney resigns

Northern District chief prosecutor David L. Anderson is the latest U.S. attorney in California to resign following a request from President Joe Biden.

During what he said was likely his "last press conference as U.S. attorney" to announce a large drug seizure Thursday, David L. Anderson of the Northern District of California said he had submitted his resignation, effective Feb. 28.

Anderson declined to disclose his next professional move. He previously was a partner at Sidley Austin LLP.
