CEO of Sunnyvale lab settles SEC charges over COVID test

Rena Schena’s husband, the former president of Arrayit Corp., still faces regulatory and criminal charges that he misrepresented to investors the successful development of a coronavirus blood test.

A settlement between the CEO of Sunnyvale lab company Arrayit Corp. and the Securities and Exchange Commission to resolve claims that she engineered a fraudulent scheme to inflate the price of the company's penny stock by lying about the development of a COVID-19 blood test early on in the pandemic does not spell the end of her legal troubles.
