On March 9, 2020, I sat in Judge Mark Borenstein’s courtroom at the Spring Street Courthouse in Los Angeles, waiting for the jury to return its verdict. Little did I realize, this was the last time I would set foot in this court, or any court, for 11 months — and counting.
