Bill to end nondisclosure clauses debated by employers and workers

Employers’ attorneys who have spent the last two years navigating the #MeToo legislation say the bill’s passage could potentially change their clients’ approach to discrimination and harassment cases in ways that would only prolong conflict.

For some plaintiffs’ attorneys, a new bill that would allow employees to speak openly about workplace discrimination and harassment could wrap up a campaign they started waging during the #MeToo movement, when they successfully rallied behind bills to protect women and other workers who make sexual harassment and gender discrimination claims.
