Deal reached to let Girardi stay in home until it’s sold

Leonard Pena, who represents Tom Girardi’s brother Robert, told Russell there was “no way for the debtor to service the mortgage on his property” and that he would move once the house is sold.

A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday approved an agreement reached between Thomas V. Girardi's brother and the trustee handling his estate allowing the famed plaintiffs' attorney to remain in his Pasadena house temporarily while it is put up for sale.

But U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Barry Russell and attorneys at the hearing made clear he would be moving out as soon as the house...
