Nomination hints Biden looking to change Big Tech friendly standards

Along with the appointment of Tim Wu as an economic adviser on technology and competition policy, the reported nomination of Lisa Khan to the FTC indicates that President Joe Biden’s administration might look to overhaul laws and standards that have led to the monopolization of key industries by Facebook, Google, Amazon and Apple.

Lina Khan, an antitrust expert who helped champion calls to break up Big Tech, will be nominated to the Federal Trade Commission, it was reported Tuesday.
