LA County names special prosecutor for officer involved shootings
At the request of District Attorney George Gascon the board of supervisors appointed former federal prosecutor Lawrence S. Middleton.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved without comment Tuesday a request from District Attorney George Gascon to appoint former federal prosecutor Lawrence S. Middleton as a special prosecutor to investigate allegations of police misconduct, including four fatal police shooting cases for which the DA’s predecessor declined to charge officers.
