Circuit finds attorney acted with malice in sending news release
Lisa Bloom’s firm issued a news release alleging casino magnate Steve Wynn sexually harassed and retaliated against one of her clients, knowing the client did not testify to that, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said in denying her anti-SLAPP motion.




A jury could reasonably conclude that Lisa Bloom, the civil rights attorney known for taking on high profile sexual harassment cases, "acted with actual malice" when she published a press release accusing casino magnate Steve Wynn of sexually harassing and retaliating against a performer at one of his hotels, a court of appeals ruled.
