Lawyers resist working together to lead Google ad class action

U.S. District Judge Beth L. Freeman directed the lawyers “back to the drawing board to work something else out” on who will serve as lead counsel for advertisers. She tentatively appointed Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, Korein Tillery LLC and Berger Montague PC to represent publishers.

A federal judge overseeing consolidated class actions accusing Google of monopolizing the market for digital ad sales refused to sign off Thursday on proposals from attorneys jockeying to lead the litigation after they pushed back on working together.
