Iancu rejoins Irell & Manella after stint as patent chief

With the experience he has gained leading the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and as undersecretary of commerce for intellectual property, Iancu said he looks forward to establishing a deeper and broader practice.

Andrei Iancu, former undersecretary of commerce for intellectual property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, has returned to Los Angeles and rejoined Irell & Manella LLP.

Irell announced the news April 1, almost three months after Iancu first announced his departure from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
