Redwood City police sued over shooting death

Family of man shot and killed by Redwood City Police during mental illness episode files lawsuit.

The family of a teacher, who was shot and killed by Redwood City Police officers during a mental illness crisis, has filed a federal complaint blaming them for not employing less lethal alternatives to de-escalate the situation.
