LA County again delays criminal proceedings

The deadline for holding preliminary hearings on a defendant’s right to pretrial release was extended from 10 court days to 30. The time period provided for holding a criminal trial was extended by 30 days.

Los Angeles County Presiding Judge Eric Taylor has again extended the length of continuances for criminal hearings and trials.
