9th Circuit tells EPA to find a way to ban chlorpyrifos

The ruling, by a divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel, will almost certainly doom the use of the pesticide, chlorpyrifos, because the EPA will have a short time to make a decision once the ruling is final.

Blasting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for delaying tactics concerning a pesticide that studies have found is a danger to infants and children, a federal appellate panel ordered the government to find it safe or ban it.
