Lawyers say they aren’t responsible for missing Girardi funds

David R. Lira and Keith D. Griffin worked for prominent plaintiff’s attorney Thomas V. Girardi and all three are accused of misappropriating millions of dollars in settlement funds paid by Boeing Co. to the families of victims of a plane crash in Indonesia.

Citing different but related arguments, two former Girardi Keese attorneys argued Tuesday that a law firm's complaint seeking to hold them responsible for withholding funds from a large settlement should be dismissed.
