5 women accuse Amazon of discrimination

Wednesday’s lawsuits were filed by three current and two former Amazon employees, all of whom are represented by New York based law firm Wigdor Law

Five female employees filed individual discrimination lawsuits against Amazon Wednesday, exactly a week before the online retail giant is set to hold its annual shareholder meeting.

Institutional Shareholder Services Inc., a proxy advisory firm, has been urging Amazon investors to vote for an independent racial audit of the company at the May 26 meeting. Amazon is asking shareholders to reject the proposal.
