San Francisco DA refiles excessive force charges

DA Chesa Boudin who ran on a platform of reducing incarceration and cracking down on police misconduct is preparing four separate trials against officers, including one accused of murder.

Following through on a promise to refile the case after dropping it because of a key witness' unavailability, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin filed excessive force charges Thursday against two former sheriff's deputies seen on surveillance footage beating an unarmed man following a pursuit.
