BB gun freeway shooting brings attempted murder charge

Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin will have to prove defendant Jesse Rodriguez intended to kill three people who were shot at in a car on the Highway 91 freeway to secure a conviction on each of the attempted murder charges.

Following a spree of similar shootings over the last month, a man who allegedly used a pellet gun to shoot out the window of a Tesla on a Riverside County highway is facing three counts of attempted murder, an interesting charging decision by District Attorney Mike Hestrin.
