9th Circuit says ConAgra settlement ‘reeks of collusion’

9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Kenneth K. Lee blasted the settlement as a giveaway to attorneys who did nothing for the few class members who filled out a claim.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Tuesday reversed a settlement reached between plaintiffs' attorneys and ConAgra Foods Inc., siding with an objector who said the deal was mostly just a payment to the lawyers.
