3 ex-prosecutors are favorites for US attorney in Central District

Attorneys familiar with the vetting process say they do not know when President Joe Biden will nominate top prosecutors in the state, and it's likely that will happen later in the year after some federal judicial vacancies in California are filled.

Three former prosecutors have emerged as favorites to become the next U.S. Attorney in the Central District of California, while two attorneys appear to be ahead of competitors for the same position in the Northern District.
