Sonoma testing lab becomes first cannabis company to unionize

Employees at Sonoma Lab Works -- who include scientists, engineers, assistants, and office staff -- unanimously voted to join the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 5, the company said in a news release.

A California cannabis testing lab has voluntarily recognized its employees' union, in a move that makes the company the first to unionize in the state, the company announced Friday.
