'Historic' $140M settlement in wage and hour class action

Plaintiffs’ attorney Caren P. Sencer, a partner at Weinberg Roger & Rosenfeld in Emeryville, said the recovery for nearly 50,000 class members is the largest in a wage and hour class action in state history.

ABM Industries, a facility management company founded in San Francisco, has settled for $140 million a series of class actions accusing it of shortchanging employees when they worked more than one consecutive shift, didn’t take full meal breaks and didn’t get reimbursed for travel expenses.
